The Summer Empire
Characteristics: Sidar is also known as the “traveling nation,” because the main island on which the vast majority of its population lives has no fixed path. It seems to wander randomly through the reaches with no rhyme or reason. This would wreak havoc with its climate normally, but Sidar is almost always shrouded in mists, and the plants and animals that live there are adapted to the gloomy climate.
The Sidar are passive. They make no effort to control their island’s passage, and merely adapt their trade and lifestyle to its place in the reaches. Their main constant source of trade is in thaumaturgy. Sidar produces a far higher number of shamans than anywhere else in the Summer Empire, even Malak, and their necessity in dealing with the little gods means the Sidar always have a place in the wider world.
